The Heart House is planning on opening a 3rd facility before the start of the new school year this Fall. We will be helping with the set up and transformation of the new location into a child friendly environment. This project will be sometime in July or August. We may be helping with setting up computers for the labs, loading softwares, arranging desks/furniture and organizing bookcases. If anyone has experience with Mural Painting, they could use your services at another location. Please contact Stephanie at stephanie@apexdallas.org to sign up.

Heart House's innovative after school program is designed for school-age children in a neighborhood known for its high crime, high unemployment, and lack of affordable, quality care for children. At Heart House, children have access to caring adult mentors, homework assistance, art enrichment, computer learning, health and safety education, and literacy programs. More on the China Dolls novel…

“China Dolls” is this generation’s look at Asian women in the U.S. The story is a fusion of the cultural tensions of “Joy Luck Club” and our fashionista lovers of “Sex and The City.” "China Dolls" examines what it means to be multicultural in the U.S by exploring life at the intersection of two worlds - one filled with Asian grandmothers and red envelopes, and another of tackling career and personal challenges in a big city. These women do not forget their Asian roots, but instead draw strength from their heritage while embracing their American culture. For more about the book and the authors, please visit their website www.chinadollsnovel.com.
